just a few days back, i attended a speech, performed by an esteemed professor of psychiatry regarding reconciliation and conflicts in the history of drug opposition in iran. at that meeting, initial rules of struggling with addiction in the safavieh era were discussed; about how rules were stereotyped and inefficient since then. there were talks about increase in addiction rate during different socio-political periods and some uncertainties about biological, psychological and social aspects of addiction among colleagues. but the common denominator of all talks was lack of presence of experts and researchers in the field of addiction management to make policies and decisions in different periods. i will discuss in this article how pjam contribute in a solution for this deficiency that lasted to now in the country.
